Divers take advantage of unlimited shore diving from Utopia’s South side or experience many of Utila’s 100 buoyed dive sites by using Utopia’s custom dive boats. Utila offers 90% of all marine life found in the Caribbean with a variety of dives including sea mounts, shallow fringing reefs,  and plunging walls set on the largest barrier reef in the Western Hemisphere. Increase your bottom time using U Dives certified nitrox facility or use the Aqua Lab for your underwater photography adventures. U Dive offers the convenience of storing your gear in a private locker room, with staff to stage your gear prior to each dive excursion.
Sports fishermen will enjoy saltwater fly fishing just a 5-minute boat ride away in the crystal clear shallows of the cays where permit, bonefish, and snapper can be found. Tarpon also frequent Utila’s Southeastern shores when in season. Fresh water fishing is available in the unique biosphere created by the mangrove filled lagoons located in several areas on the island.
