CHICHEN ITZA
Chichen Itza is the most famous and extraordinary City of the Mayan Civilization, located in the neighboring State of Yucatan. You will discover their the wondrous spirit of impressive structures. The largest building is the 'Temple of Kukulkan' or also called The Castle, a 75 foot high pyramid topped by a temple from where you will have an amazing view.
Other well known structures include the ball court, the site of day-long ritual games; 'El Caracol', the observatory, from which the Maya's traced the paths of stars and planets, the temple of warriors where you will see the reclining figure of 'Chacmool', a symbol for the Yucatan Peninsula. These are just a few examples of Chichen Itza's structures, the most captivating of all Mexico's archaeological treasures.
 
 
COBA PAC CHEN
Coba is one of the biggest Mayan ceremonial centers and much of the 42 square mile site is still unearthed. The Spaniards never discovered this ceremonial center. Its awesome 138 feet high pyramid 'El Castillo' silently stands among the lush vegetation where howling and spider monkeys live and a large diversity of birds shelter. Walk through the network of Sacbes, limestone roads to the yet unexplored riches that have become an attractive lure to visitors. Experience a real encounter with the Mayan’s life concept, with traditions and ritual ceremonies preserved into our days in hundreds of small communities such as Pac Chen where you will be in touch with the actual daily experiences of the Mayan people.
 
 
SNORKEL IN A CENOTE
The Riviera Maya offers infamous cenotes – sinkholes – that have occurred sporadically over the crystal clear underground river that follows the coastline for more than 100 miles. Be sure to take a dip in one of the many cenotes such as 'Eden' where you will see amazing fresh water fish and feel like in a natural aquarium, or 'Chic-in ha' where you will see amazing rock formations, stalactites and stalagmites in the clearest water you can imagine. feel like floating on air. Quite an experience!
 
 
TULUM
Travel to one of the most amazing sites of the mythical Mayan past! Tulum is the only walled city the Mayans built on the Caribbean coast. It is built in the honor of the sun and it is beautiful located on a cliff from were you can overlook the Caribbean Sea. One of the most interesting structures here is the Temple of Frescos with beautiful wall paintings. The city used to be a very important part of trade on the coastline for the Maya civilization.
 
XEL-HA
Xel-Há, Mayan for 'where the waters are born' or 'where the waters converge' is a unique natural phenomenon that combines saltwater from the ocean and freshwater from underground rivers, a natural haven and protected habitat for regional marine life. Xel-Há with its unbelievable crystal clear waters is a perfect place for swimming, snorkeling and more.
 
 
XCARET
World famous park with natural beauties, an aquarium with programs to protect marine turtle and underground rivers, beach area, a place to swim along or with dolphins, to watch the birds, butterflies, coral reef, fishes and may other animals. During the night the place become a giant Theatre were the audience walk through the park seeing the ancient Mayan ball game, a Mayan village and a folkloric show performance at the Xcaret auditorium.
 
 
TAKE A DAY TRIP TO COZUMEL
Don’t forget that the famous divers paradise of Cozumel is less than an hour ferry ride from the mainland, where a whole host of other activities and sights await.
