Opened since July 2002, this resort was designed to be the most exclusive resort in French Polynesia.

 

Superbly located on Motu Tautau on the coral reef, the resort faces the island of Taha'a on the lagoon side and offers an unsurpassed view of Bora Bora island on the ocean side.

 

This traditional Polynesian style hotel is 5 minutes by boat from main island of Taha'a and 35 min by boat from Raiatea Island . Their facilities surpass all existing hotel accommodation in the whole Pacific region.

The resort offers 48 Over Water Suites & 12 Beach Villas offering more than a hundred square meters in size. Facilities include, private patio & tropical gardens, private swimming pool (beach villas), spacious lounge and terrace, private deck with direct access to the lagoon (over water bungalows), ceiling fan, air-conditioning, coffee/tea facilities, mini bar, hair dryer, make up mirror, safety box, television, CD player and IDD telephone.

The public areas are built in the trees, providing an exquisite view on the lagoon and Taha'a Island (The Vanilla Island).

 

The hotel boasts three quality restaurants and two bars. La Plage is located by the pool and beachside. Vanille and Ohiri are located in the heart of the resort among the trees. Vanille is the main restaurant and Ohiri is for fine dining. Guests can enjoy beach barbecues and Polynesian and seafood buffets accompanied with live entertainment.

 

Le Taha’a activities include a fresh water swimming pool next to the beach, jet skis, water ski, 1 tennis court night lighted, petanque (Bacci ball) area, volleyball court, and beach Jacuzzi.

Various excursions are also available including helicopter tours.

For the less adventurous, the hotel spa nestles in the shade of a coconut grove between the meandering waters of a small lake and the lagoon and offers Polynesian style massage treatments.

 

The local marine fauna is incredibly rich, varied and colourful making it ideal for divers. Underwater topography is also not without interest, with impressive depths, grottoes and crevices.

One of our special features is the presence of the Distichopora coral, which creates superb yellow and violet tones on the outward slopes.

There are more than 25 recorded sites around Taha'a and Raiatea, as well as localized dive sites at two of the eight passes through the reef into the single lagoon shared by both islands.
